Unless otherwise requested, all weanling calves go through our HPR Kindergarten program which teaches: come to cubes, stand for petting and brushing, jump in the trailer without being corralled, and stand for halter on/off.  However, it’s much more than basic training!  Our calves are born and raised alongside horses, miniature donkeys and llamas.  Once the nose weaning tags come off, calves are brought into a residential pasture where they are exposed to all the things one does, and has, around their home.  We believe this exposure along with gentle handling gives calves the confidence that will help them acclimate quickly, with as little stress as possible, to their new homes and environments.
